Clarke, Bingle's relationship 'over'

Michael Clarke's relationship with fiancee Lara Bingle is reportedly over, days after a nude photo scandal surrounding Bingle erupted.

The Australian vice-captain returned home from the ongoing tour of New Zealand three days ago, ostensibly to provide support for Bingle during the drama.

But now the pair have reportedly broken off their relationship altogether.

According to Fairfax reports, a friend of Bingle was about to sell a tell-all story about the couple, and that was the final straw for Clarke.

Friends of the pair have confirmed the split, according to the Nine Network, and say that it was some time in coming.

Clarke, who has been named to play in the Test series in New Zealand starting March 19, had been criticised by former cricketers, including Ian Chappell and Mark Waugh, for putting his personal life ahead of his cricketing career.
