Cricket Australia has announced The Big Bash will be expanded.

Cricket Australia has announced The Big Bash will be expanded, Sheffield Shield cricket will remain the same and there will be less one day cricket next season.

There will be two teams playing out of Sydney and Melbourne next domestic cricket season in the Big Bash, and the tournament will run for six weeks.

Each state team will play two less one day games.

The Big Bash will start in mid December.
