Gilmore leads Aus charge on Gold Coast

World champion Stephanie Gilmore is among four Australians to have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast.

Chelsea Hedges, Sally Fitzgibbons and Rebecca Woods will join Gilmore in the final eight.

Meanwhile the semi-finals are underway in the men's Quiksilver Pro, with Taj Burrow the last Aussie standing up.

He is taking on American Bobby Martinez.
