Leijer A-League call to wait

Melbourne Victory won't decide until the last minute whether injured skipper Adrian Leijer plays in tomorrow night's A-League derby.

Leijer hurt his shoulder in the Victory's 1-1 midweek draw with Gold Coast United, but bravely played.

Victory coach Jim Magilton says Leijer will be assessed tomorrow afternoon when a decision will be made on whether he plays in the crucial match at AAMI Park.

The eighth-placed Victory must win to maintain their hopes of playing in the finals, while the Heart are trying to address a slump which has dropped them from second to fifth.
