Essendon midfielder Nathan Lovett-Murray will miss the club's next three AFL matches after accepting a ban for rough conduct.
Lovett-Murray was reported for his hit on Richmond's Kane Pettifer in the third quarter of the Bombers' win at the MCG on Saturday.
He will miss clashes with Geelong, Adelaide and Melbourne.
The Cats' Mathew Stokes will also sit out the Bombers clash after opting not to contest a charge of striking Western Bulldogs player Liam Picken.
The tribunal will however sit this evening because Stokes' team-mate Jimmy Bartel will fight a reprimand for tripping.
