Adelaide United captain Travis Dodd says the hot conditions in the Top End will suit North Queensland Fury better in tomorrow night's A-League exhibition clash in Darwin.

Dodd and defender Robert Cornthwaite took a plunge with some crocodiles this morning but say they are looking forward to facing the threat on the soccer field.

Dodd says the match will be a good measure of where the team is at.

"We've got a few players that haven't come over for this trip through injury and unavailability, so the squad won't be 100 per cent there," he said.

"But North Queensland have had some bad results in the last few games and they'll certainly be coming out looking to get a positive result.

"So we're expecting them to throw everything at us."
