... you need to know before joining a fantasy league competition.
Not sure which fantasy league to join in 2010? Don't be, the answer is simple.
Toyota Dream Team is the only place to play fantasy AFL or NRL in 2010. And here is why.
1) It's the official game Forget about the pretenders. The Toyota NRL Dream Team and Toyota AFL Dream Team are the official fantasy games of the NRL and AFL.
It's the game that uses the official stats and it's the only game with live scores.
Avoid the rebel leagues and support the game of the official bodies, played by the players, coaches, administrators and celebrities who make the game happen.
2) The prizes are bigger The official AFL and NRL Dream Team games have big prizes.
Register early to be eligible for one of five $1000 early-bird prizes. There's another $1000 up for grabs every week for the round's high-scorer, as well as other great weekly prizes.
The overall winner of each competition gets their choice of one of four brand new Toyotas. You pick the teams, so it stands to reason that you pick the car.
3) Play it in more places Play the game from more places on your Telstra NextG mobile phone.
Once you're registered you can manage your Toyota Dream Team on the go and keep up-to-date with live scores as your players earn points on the field.
Keep an eye out for the Dream Team iPhone app, coming soon.
4) Games within games While you race for weekly prizes and the top gong of 2010 Dream Team champion, you can also battle against your friends each week for the ultimate prize; bragging rights.
Play in private leagues, where – after round 4 – you will be paired off against a rival player, with the highest scorer getting the win for that week.
Then there's the eliminator, a knock-out tournament open to all players. But there's limited places, so get in quick…
5) Experts & opinion Get all the advice you need from the NRL's Lone Scout and the AFL's Dr Dream Team, plus insight and news from the people in-the-know at your club.
Weekly columns, coaches' tips, the inside word and late mail. Dream Team's experts share their wisdom on bargain buys and in-form players each week.
Follow the Lone Scout on NRL.com, Facebook and Twitter, and Dr Dream Team on AFL.com, Facebook and Twitter.
6) It's easy to play Don't know how to play? Don't worry, Dream Team is easy to learn and easy to play.
Just follow our step-by-step guide in Dream Team 101 and your dream team will be suited up and playing for you in no time.
