Hawthorn produced one of the worst halves of football in recent seasons, conceding a massive 84-point deficit to the Western Bulldogs at the long change at Docklands this evening.
The Hawks' 2009 campaign is virtually over after a woeful display allowed the Bulldogs to storm to a 13.10 (88) to 0.4 (4) advantage at half-time.
Meanwhile on the Gold Coast, the Crows held a 9.6 (60) to 5.3 (33) lead over struggling Richmond at Carrara Stadium.
Kurt Tippett was dominant at full-forward for Adelaide, continuing his education in the forward line with four goals.
